Lifelong Learning Classes are very popular with The Neighborhood’s Residents.  As an example, below are classes scheduled to held at The Neighborhood in May. 

Oasis will have a course about “Herbal Traditions in New Mexico”.

Oasis Albuquerque Lifelong Adventure is a unique educational program for older adults who want to learn and be productive throughout life.  Oasis provides lifelong learning and healthy living classes, travel, volunteer opportunities, and much more.

Osher Lifelong learning classes also has three classes scheduled for May.

“From the Homefront: The Nurses”
“Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Why Oh Why Doesn’t Disney Call?”

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute offers a wide range of courses.  Provided by the University of New Mexico, Osher classes bring the challenge and excitement of university learning to adults age 50 plus who want to explore stimulating and fascinating subjects.  Courses and lectures are taught by UNM faculty as well as by qualified members of the community. There are no tests or grades, just learning for the pure joy.

Da Vinci, The Genius  is one of the most anticipated exhibits to come to New Mexico and is now open. Neighborhood residents were able to get a sneak-peak at a VIP reception in early February.

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science is proud to host the extraordinary Da Vinci, The Genius exhibition created by Grande Exhibitions of Victoria, Australia in collaboration with the Museo Leonardo da Vinci, Rome, and the French scientific engineer Pascal Cotte. This is the most comprehensive traveling exhibition on Leonardo da Vinci ever assembled.
